Ardenleigh Medium Secure Unit: Provides Trauma Informed Secure Inpatient care across 3 Services: - Ardenleigh Women's Secure Blended Service(30 beds) & CAMHS Medium and Low Secure Services (16 beds)
Includes the Youth First Team, a specialist community child and adolescent mental health service for high risk young people with complex needs in the West Midlands. Providing an advisory, consultation, assessment and intervention based model of care. Leading a well established, caring and compassionate MDT, Nursing Teams and leading on service developments. The passion to work within an accelerated environment with women and adolescents is vital. A rewarding and inspiring role.
Reaside Medium Secure Unit / Hillis Lodge Low Secure Unit.: incl Reaside Clinic, a 92 bedded male medium secure unit and Hillis Lodge, a 15 bedded male low secure unit. Providing assessment, treatment and rehabilitation to service users with severe mental health problems who have committed a criminal offence or have shown seriously aggressive or high risk behaviour. Providing care through secure inpatient units and specialist community teams., The role is pivotal in assisting the Clinical Director, Associate Director, Head of Secure Care, Head of Nursing, Exec Director of Nursing, Deputy Director of Nursing and Quality and other professional heads with the delivery of appropriate professional standards and clinical service across the portfolio and wider trust., Our Trust is committed to treating individuals fairly and ensuring they have the same opportunities to fulfil their potential, even if this means doing things differently for different people sometimes. As part of the selection process you may be required to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, however all cases of criminal record history are dealt with on a case by case basis.
Please note, if applicable for your role you will be required to cover the cost of your DBS certificate. This will be deducted from your salary over 3 months. You will also be required to sign up to the DBS Update Service before commencement with the Trust.
All successful applicants will be required to complete the Trust's induction programme. The Fundamental (Statutory and Mandatory) training will be in an e-learning format. You will be required to complete training modules online (approx. 9-14 hours depending on post) by the end of your first week with us.

The post holders will need to have proven experience in a leadership role and demonstrate innovative and dynamic ways of working within a secure care service. Key to success will be a sound knowledge and experience of operational service issues within a mental health environment especially medium secure, the ability to operate in a complex and changing service; effective partnership working across a diverse community; well-developed communication skills and the ability to lead redesign without compromising service delivery.

The post holders will be responsible for operational management, leadership, planning and delivery of services across the agreed service area within the medium secure inpatient setting and community youth team at Ardenleigh. The Ardenleigh postholder will also have responsibility for the overall secure service site. As a member of the senior management team, the post holders will contribute to the shaping of the strategic direction for the services and ensure its implementation within defined timescales., Working for our organisation
