Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and experienced operational manager to support the Anaesthetics and Pain services at General Manager level at University Hospitals Birmingham., The General Manager role requires a highly competent individual with extensive experience in the management of people and services at a service team level or above, in the health care sector. The General Manager will lead, direct and co-ordinate a high quality, safe, effective and efficient service provision to meet the needs of patients within our pain service and surgical specialities.

Working within the new structure of CDG9B the postholder will work closely with the clinical service leads, nursing leads and a range of stakeholders across the hospital, the successful candidate will be well supported by the senior leadership team.

The Anaesthetics service is based on the Queen Elizabeth (QE) site and the pain service is based both at the Solihull and QE hospital sites. Day to day the postholder will be based within the theatre complex of the new QE hospital.
