Health Innovation West Midlands (HIWM) is looking to appoint a Corporate Affairs and Performance Director to lead all aspects of HIWM corporate and organisational performance functions and activities. As a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, this role will lead on all aspects of Corporate Affairs and Performance, inclusive of HIWM pipeline, as well as have considerable influence on organisational strategy, annual plans, operational practices, and future organisational sustainability. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a deep commitment to improving health and economic growth, who has a desire to deliver impact for the people of the West Midlands. The role would suit someone who can utilise their in-depth expertise and understanding of corporate affairs and governance systems to lead the shaping, negotiating, contracting and delivery of the NHS England Commission. As well as support HIWM on its journey to become the partner of choice for local, regional, national and international organisations. Given our dynamic operating context, we are looking for an enthusiastic professional who is outcome focussed and enjoys working collaboratively. The role will have a specific strategic focus on enabling HIWM to deliver at pace and scale by ensuring that corporate affairs and governance systems create an environment that enables colleagues to discover, develop, and deploy at pace.Main duties of the job As a member of the Management Board the post holder will participate in Board level governance and leadership of the organisation. The post holder will be the organisation's lead on the NHSE Commission and provide active support to the Directors responsible for the OLS Commission. The post holder will have oversight and responsibility for key relationships with commissioners, partners, and stakeholders. Including the establishment of good working relationships with all six Integrated Care Boards within the HIWM geography. The post holder will strengthen HIWM host relationship ensuring that the host delivers against the service specification. The post holder will lead the implementation of HIWM pipeline and establish and maintain organisational governance structures to enable HIWM to make transparent evidenced-based decisions. Leading the Corporate and support service teams the post holder will be responsible for creating a positive team dynamic to utilise the skills and potential of all team members.
