Full Job Description
The primary responsibility of this position will be to manage the front reception desk at our clinic on an ad hoc basis. You will play a crucial role in ensuring a seamless and efficient process for patients as they arrive, providing them with a welcoming and friendly experience. In addition to handling reception duties, this role also offers the opportunity to provide valuable administrative support to the clinic team. The position is bank which is well suited for someone who is flexible and willing to take on available hours as needed. This position provides an excellent opportunity to contribute to the smooth operation of our clinic and make a positive impact on the overall patient experience. Principle Duties:
- Meeting and greeting patient, visitors, consultants and staff at reception, and acting as the main point of contact for queries;
- Taking telephone calls, answering patient queries and taking messages;
- Booking/amending patient clinic appointments;
- Raising invoices and collecting payments in person and over the telephone;
- Updating systems with details from patient registration forms;
- Maintaining an organised, tidy and well-stocked reception area;
- Scanning of relevant documentation onto the system, general housekeeping and filing;
- Responding to patients queries and questions through a shared inbox;
- Maintain thorough and accurate records of all patient and consultant correspondence;
- Cross role cover to support the team during times of annual leave and adhoc absences.
The successful candidate will have experience of working within an administration setting and knowledge surrounding healthcare practices.
