Bank Cardiac Physiologist

Working on the bank means you are not contracted to a set number of hours per week but instead work on an ad-hoc basis to suit the needs of the business and your availability., Supporting the Cardiology department and CRM service as a Cardiac Physiologist, you will:

• Be autonomous in device interrogation, optimisation, troubleshooting, and reprogramming of a range of CIEDs including ILRs, pacemakers, ICDs, and CRTs, in line with local and national policies and guidelines


• Have experience with a range of programmers and devices from various manufacturers


• Have experience in conducting Echocardiograms


• Have experience in remote monitoring on multiple manufacturer platforms


• Support the wider surgical teams in clinical decision-making to reprogramme or deactivate devices before surgery, following BHRS guidance


• Ensure accurate clinical records are maintained in line with professional, statutory, and organisational guideline


• Provide clinical supervision in line with statutory requirements

As a Cardiac Physiologist at our Leeds Hospital, you'll hold either a BTEC ONC and HNC in Medical Physics and Physiological Measurement, or a BSc in Clinical Science /Physiology (or equivalent). You're currently registered with the RCCP as a Clinical Physiologist. Ideally, you're also accredited with SCST and BSE. You're flexible, motivated and a team player.,
• Be registered with the relevant professional body (RCCP, AHCS or HCPC)


• Be accredited with the BHRS, IBHRE, EHRA, BSE or equivalent, or be able to evidence they are working to that level
