Full Job Description
University Hospitals Dorset is seeking a friendly hardworking, reliable person to support the Catering team to provide great customer service in our busy restaurants and coffee bars. Duties include serving food and drink items, operating a till, refilling of stock and general cleaning duties.
As a member of the catering team you'll be responsible for providing an efficient, high quality dedicated food and beverage service, operating in compliance with corporate and local policies and procedures.
Whilst you will have experience of working in a similar environment and a Basic Food Hygiene certificate, COSHH and allergen training (or willingness to work towards it), your commitment to customer care, first class service and belief in teamwork are just as important.
Your tasks could include
1. Serving of Patient meals on a Belt system
2. Taking and collecting patient's trolley from wards
3. Driving an electric tug (full Training given).
4. Using industrial dish washer, this role involves a lot of moving and handling,
5. May include some food preparation to assist in simple food preparation in a chilled and/or frozen working and storage environment
6. Cleaning of the Kitchen
This post requires a flexible approach to hours of work and to meeting the needs of our customers and patients whilst being supportive of the large food service operation at the UHD.
