Full Job Description
Hours: Bank, as and when required, to include Weekends and Bank Holidays. Our Retail outlets provide 29% of much needed income to the hospice. This is vital to be able to provide the much-needed care to the people of Derbyshire. The hospice has 15 retail shops,1 furniture warehouse a Donation centre, 2 Clearance shop's and 2 Coffee shops! We also have an online eBay platform and an online furniture store, It's a big operation! We are looking for a Bank Retail Sales Assistant to join our Retail Team. The Bank Retail Sales assistant will support the team with all aspects of running the clothing boutique, new goods team and the Hasland furniture team, The role will involve managing volunteers, stock control, preparing products as well as the training of volunteers. This job role is hard work, enormous fun, hugely satisfying and very fascinating. This is a job that doesn't have that Monday morning feeling and you will go home feeling happy that you did a great job for an amazing charity! those who work for Ashgate Hospice are very proud to do so. - Ensure the highest standards of customer care are always adhered to
- Following the guidance to prepare stock for sale within the store
- Ensure Ashgate values are followed
- Promote Ashgate Hospice in the local community
Skills and experience required: You will be an integral member of the Retail Team at the Furniture Store You will be responsible for ensuring the shop is safe, clean and well presented, making sure our customers have a great experience. Skills and experience required: - Customer Service skills
- Ability to adapt to new work situations and use initiative to find solutions to work related problems.
- Ability to multitask in a busy retail environment.
- Knowledge of cash handling/Banking protocol
