Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for Healthcare Assistant to work at the The Hellingly Centre, part of the Sussex Partnership and based in Hailsham, East Sussex.

Hellingly in a Secure Inpatient Unit our secure mental hospitals, we care for people aged 18 or over with a mental illness who have become involved in the criminal justice system. Our aim is to make sure that people are cared for in the least restrictive environment for the shortest amount of time.,

  • Work with the multi-disciplinary team to establish and deliver a therapeutic programme of care for our patients.

  • Undertake care duties for patients on the ward.

  • Report patients condition to qualified staff

  • Document care delivery in patients notes.

  • Implement individual patient care plans

  • Participate in meetings, training and other work related forums.

    Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust are a large Mental health trust looking to add Healthcare Assistants to our Temporary/Flexible Staffing (Bank) Team. The Sussex Partnership Bank is a dedicated flexible team providing the highest level of healthcare support across all wards and departments.

    You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and provide exceptional support to both our clients/patients and their carers and relatives whilst maintaining professional boundaries. Our Trust was recently upgraded by CQC as GOOD in every domain except CARING, which was EXCELLENT. Due to this we are now the third leading Mental Health Trust in the country. We will strive to maintain our standards and always improve where we can and you will play an important part in this.

  • The Hellingly Centre has onsite parking.

  • There will be opportunities to work over a 24/7 rota which includes weekend and bank holidays.

  • Full induction and Training is provided., £12.45 an hour Per Hour PLUS Enhancements Weekends, Bank Holidays and Nights.
