Bank Integrated Anaemia Administrator

The role will be required to provide efficient and effective administrative duties to the Anaemia and Transfusion service at Yeovil District Hospital.The team member will also provide flexible administrative support to the Specialist transfusion Nurse as required to support service requirements.The post requires flexibility and the ability to provide a wide range of administrative duties as the services develop., Deal with day-to-day correspondence, initiating appropriate responses to provide patients, staff and other parties with required information in a friendly and professional manner.Receive telephone calls, accepting messages on behalf of members of the specialty team, taking appropriate action where necessary.Liaise with appropriate personnel in the team to gather and co-ordinate patient information so this is accessible in a timely manner.Type all forms of clinical correspondence as dictated by clinical staff. Produce copies for appropriate agencies, filing copies in correct sequence, ensuring follow-up arrangements are in place, listing outstanding investigations on the hospital database system.Process urgent referrals and arrange appropriate outpatient appointments.Participate in team and Trust meetings as requested.
