Full Job Description

As a Bank Mental Health Support Worker, your responsibilities will vary. You will

  • Assist the mental health team in the delivery of immediate and, where appropriate, ongoing care for patients referred to the mental health team. You will be expected to support people to access care and treatment appropriately within the prison setting, working independently with lone working at times.
  • You will contribute to the positive and aspirational workings of the integrated mental health care team, ensuring that each and every patient is treated with care, respect and dignity.
  • You will also provide assistance with delivery of mental healthcare needs, within the Healthcare Department.

  • NVQ level 2/3 or equivalent in Health and Social Care A non-judgmental and compassionate approach
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good IT skills and IT literacy
  • Ability to work within a busy environment
  • Ability to work unsupervised whilst following policy and procedures
