Full Job Description
We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated midwives to join our Trust. You will join a committed and experienced team of midwives who work closely with the wider multi-disciplinary team.
Maidstone & Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust delivers maternity care to over 5900 women per year which includes two beautiful stand-alone birth centres. We are lucky to host individual rooms in each of our inpatient areas which attracts birthing persons from the local area and further. You will have the opportunity to book shifts in all of our acute clinical areas including Maternity Triage, Antenatal Ward, Delivery Suite and Postnatal Ward.
Main duties of the job
We are proud of our excellent facilities which offer women real choice in place of birth. We achieve 1:1 care for all women choosing to birth with us, in every birth setting - Home Birth, Midwifery Led and Obstetric Led.
We have been nominated several times for RCM awards and are internationally recognised for our research and practises into 'Kangaroo Care', for the promotion of well-being in transitional care babies.
We have a vibrant workforce, and encourage the sharing of ideas and innovation from staff, to contribute to the evolution of our services, and shaping our strategy towards an outstanding organisation of the future.
If you are energetic, committed, and passionate then come and join our team, and be part of a Trust which is truly women centred and proud of its achievements.
Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust is a large acute hospital Trust in the county of Kent.
The Trust provides a full range of general hospital services and some areas of specialist complex care to around 760,000 people living in the south part of West Kent and the north part of East Sussex.
The Trust's core catchment areas are Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells and their surrounding boroughs. We work from two main clinical sites: Maidstone Hospital and Tunbridge Wells Hospital at Pembury. Tunbridge Wells Hospital opened in 2011 and provides single rooms with en-suites for all in-patients - the first of its kind in the country.
We employ more than 7,000 full and part-time staff in a huge range of clinical and non-clinical roles across both of our hospital sites.
Would you like to work flexibly? In the NHS, we are reminded every day of how important life is. As a flexible working friendly organisation, we want to be sure that you can work in a way that is best for us, for our patients and for you. Speak to us about how we might be able to accommodate a flexible working arrangement
