Full Job Description

As a non medical prescriber, your responsibilities will vary. You will

  • Maintain integrated working practices and care pathways for the site that meet the complex and changing needs of people with co-existing issues.
  • Work as a lead member of a multidisciplinary team responsible for undertaking Clinical Nursing Practice at an advanced level using expert knowledge and clinical skills to deliver care to patients.
  • Be the go-to for providing expert professional advice to patients, carers and colleagues and ensure the maintenance of clinical excellence.
  • Provide treatment as required, including prescribing medication and carry out comprehensive assessments of patients looked after.
  • Provide advice/support in relation to crisis situations, conditions, and treatment plans, based on medical and treatment history so this is a great opportunity to expand your clinical development in an environment that teaches you something new everyday.

    Registered professional with current active registration (NMC, GPHC, HCPC) BSc or equivalent qualification
  • Non-medical prescribing qualification
  • Understanding and knowledge of policy developments related to the delivery of primary care services including , Clinical Governance, Quality & Outcomes Framework
  • Understanding of evidence based practice
  • Knowledge of national standards that inform practice (eg National Service Frameworks, NICE guidelines etc)
  • Evidence of Continuous Professional Development (CPD)
  • Experience of working within a primary care setting

    Hours Monday - Sunday 37.5 hours per week Salary Your will receive an hourly rate of £38.21 Applicants must have experience in first night OST and alcohol detox prescribing How will we support you?
