Full Job Description

We are looking for a compassionate person to join our team, supporting a young woman with complex health needs stemming from a rare genetic mutation. She lives independently in her Poynton home.

You will be expected to build a collaborative relationship with our client, her family, and her team of Personal Assistants.

We're seeking dedicated individuals to join our team and cover ad hoc shifts during staff holidays and sick leave, as needed. Shift times are 07.45-18.00, 12.00 - 22.15 or Waking Nights 22.00 - 08.00. The rate of pay is £13.50 per hour.

As a Bank Personal Assistant, your key responsibilities will be to ensure the safety and well-being of our client. This involves providing personal and continence care as needed, medication administration, moving and handling support, nutrition, managing household tasks, and following our client's Seizure Management Plan, administering emergency medication when needed. Through tailored training, you will learn about the specific needs and requirements of our client.

We are looking for an individual who is reliable, trustworthy, kind, and caring. You must be able to work as part of a team and have the ability to use your own initiative.

The position requires candidates with a full, clean driving license who are willing and able to drive the client's manual, wheelchair-accessible vehicle. The position is based within the client's home but also the wider local community. There will be occasions when it is necessary to travel to alternative locations.

You will need to be reasonably fit and not afraid of water (swimming pool) because the client, who is a wheelchair user, enjoys taking part in a number of indoor and outdoor physical activities. No prior experience is necessary, as we offer a comprehensive training program.

Solo Support Services recognises that everyone has the right to be safe from abuse and neglect. We will actively promote the safety, health and well-being of everyone in our care by fostering an honest, open, caring and supportive climate within the organisation. We believe that safeguarding is everyone's responsibility.

In return for your dedication, you'll receive a competitive rate of pay in addition to:

5.6 weeks holiday per year (pro-rata for part-time positions).

Company pension scheme after 3 months' service, subject to the scheme rules.
