Bank Pharmacist - Hospital Outpatient Pharmacy

Lancashire Hospitals Services (Pharmacy) Ltd is delighted to be able to offer multiple vacancies for a Bank Outpatient Pharmacist where no two days will be the same!

Why you ask? We have different branches which you will rotate across and with being in a hospital environment, it will enable you to develop your clinical knowledge in the multiple specialities including Oncology, Paediatrics, Neurology and many more.

If you have never worked in a hospital setting before, you will be provided with the necessary training to help you succeed. The team are friendly, helpful and supportive of one another and by working collaboratively, enable us to deliver a service that we are proud of. You will also work as part of a wider, multidisciplinary team and will regularly engage with other healthcare professionals.

Please note that we are open Monday to Friday 8.30am - 6.00pm so one shift will consist of 1 x 9.5 hour shift (with a paid lunch break).

You will need to be enthusiastic, motivated and demonstrate a desire towards developing our services whilst putting the patient at the heart of everything you do. On a day to day basis, you will act as the Responsible Pharmacist and play a pivotal role in terms of ensuring a safe and effective environment for our patients.

You will also provide leadership and develop fantastic working relationships with other colleagues and teams.

Lancashire Hospitals Services (Pharmacy) Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary of Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. We provide the NHS Trust with the outpatient dispensing service at Royal Preston Hospital, Rosemere Centre (within Royal Preston Hospital) and Chorley and South Ribble District General Hospital.
