Full Job Description

As a Bank Receptionist at our service, you'll be a main point of contact and liaison patients coming into our various Primary Care Centres as well as staff members. You'll be providing support in the smooth running of the centre and its appointments - whether it be opening and closing the centre, greeting patients or ensuring that the area is safe and secure for all visitors and clinicians at the service. This is a Bank role that enables you to choose to accept the shifts you want. However, to support our Out Of Hours services, shifts for this role will be weekends only. What you'll be doing

  • Ensuring that the site is open and ready for the start of the shift, and locking the site up securely at the close of a shift.
  • Setting up the site and equipment ready for the arrival of both Doctors and patients Greeting patients and dealing with them in an efficient and professional manner. To apply effective telephone communication relating to patients, Doctors and central base.
  • Monitor and maintain the appointment system in an organised and proactive manner to ensure efficient patient service.
  • What we'll look for in you

  • Excellent telephone manner and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent organisational and administration skills, with previous admin experience and a strong customer service focus.
  • Computer skills - particularly Excel and Word - with an understanding of confidentiality/data protection.
