As part of our inpatient unit, you will provide end-of-life care to patients with life-limiting illnesses, focusing on improving their quality of life. You will be a key player in monitoring symptoms, helping patients develop coping strategies, and supporting families emotionally.

Hours: 12 hour shifts on days, nights and weekends (day shift is 07:00 19:30, night shift 19:00 07:30), Our nurses are responsible for coordinating and delivering end of life care to patients with life limiting illnesses it's all about giving our patients the best possible quality of life.

You will monitor symptom control issues and support patients in developing coping strategies for living with symptoms. You will also provide support for those closest to the patient, providing emotional and psychological support alongside other disciplines to provide a fully holistic and multidisciplinary approach to patient care.

    Prospect Hospice is an independent hospice supporting a community of 300,000 people in Swindon, Marlborough and North Wiltshire, and the villages of Lechlade and Fairford in Gloucestershire.


  • It is the only dedicated provider of specialist end of life care services within it's locality. The Hospices multi-professionals teams support people in the community, in care homes, at the Great Western Hospital and at the Hospice in Wroughton. Care is also extended to the families and friends of patients.

    £15.81 to £17.39 an hour plus shift enhancements for weekends and nights
