Full Job Description

Job Purpose To act as an autonomous practitioner, providing high quality Podiatric care to patients in a variety of settings. A high proportion of treatments will be to patients classified as high risk., To carry out regular Nail Surgery sessions on a rotational basis with other members of the Foot Health Department. To liaise with members of the wider multidisciplinary team including, General Practice and District Nursing, ensuring seamless delivery of care and providing advice and education within this forum, acting as a highly skilled practitioner in their own professional field. To continually review patient progress and refer as necessary to other health care professionals and podiatry clinical specialists to ensure appropriate care is provided. To provide where necessary a technical annual assessment for 'high risk' patients (particularly Diabetes) including the use of Doppler and neurothesiometers. To perform to a high level of dexterity the physical skills required in thecare of lower limb disorders. The ability to analyse complex information to decide a range of treatment options. These skills include the use of scalpel and diagnostic tests/equipment.

    £21.88 an hour Weekly pay will include: Basic pay + HCAS + 12.07% Holiday pay
