Full Job Description

The successful applicant will be handling and distributing all stock under the Supply Chain service. This will be into, out of, and within the central warehouse/depot to NELFT sites, local acute hospitals, GPs and client's homes. This stock will mainly be Home Loans Equipment, PPE, medical equipment, including donations, uniforms, clinical equipment, furniture, electronic equipment and appliances. There may also be an occasional need to support the Transport team. The job holder will provide comprehensive and confidential support to the service to ensure the smooth running of the supply chain distribution function.

  • Collecting prepared orders from Central Stores, loading vehicles, using advanced driving skills, including driving Large Goods Vehicles (LGV), to deliver to NELFT sites, following agreed delivery routes/schedules.
  • · Unloading stock and ensuring safe receipt by recipients
  • Use a picking sheet to pick stock for orders and put stock in cages for deliveries with appropriate paperwork.
  • Receive goods in, complete paperwork and put stock away
  • Have a working knowledge of Microsoft software (Outlook, Word and Excel) and learn new software/applications as required.
  • Communicate effectively with a range of people, both in person or on the telephone, promptly, professionally and courteously whilst recognising barriers to communication.
