Full Job Description
The role will involve supporting the Lead Tissue Viability Nurse in service development as well as reducing pressure ulceration and the management of complex wounds., Working as part of Cambridgeshire Community Service Luton's Tissue Viability Team, the Tissue Viability Nurse will be responsible for the assessments, planning, implementation and evaluation of individualised wound care to patients in their own home, Nursing and Residential Homes and within designated leg ulcer clinics.
A key part of the role will be to co-ordinate and deliver teaching and training of pre and post registration nurses in all aspects of wound care and to be responsible for the collection, collation and analysis of statistics to identify areas of need and future service development.
In addition the role requires management and development of junior members of staff and participation in the strategic development of the Tissue Viability Service.
The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate an interest and passion for Tissue Viability, have current experience with pressure ulcer/ leg ulcer management as well as leadership skills.
