Bank Vaccination Nurse

We are looking for reliable and enthusiastic Nurses on Zero Hours Contract to provide a vaccination service to our patients within the surgery, for home visits and in residential settings. You will work as part of a team, in and around Hereford and there is some flexibility around the hours you may choose to work including weekdays and weekends.,

• Provide an immunisation service, using aseptic technique to patients within the surgery


• Clinical assessment of patients for vaccination, review medical history and potential adverse reactions


• Provide supervision and support to HCAs


• Recognising and reporting deterioration of patients-urgent or non-urgent.


• Work within National guidelines , written instruction and Patient Group Directives


• The post will include lone working, you must be able to drive and have access to a car to work in various locations.


CPD / Practice Admin.


• Attends regular clinical updates and mandatory training as requested


• Provides summary feedback of any updates and learning points following courses/meetings as appropriate.


• Maintain professional portfolio.
  
  Ideally you may have worked in Primary Care and be familiar with vaccination campaigns such as Flu, MMR and Covid but this is not essential.


Preferably you should have access to a car to provide vaccinations in the community, but we would consider employment of staff who did not have their own transport to vaccinate in house.

The post holder will be a Registered Nurse who is reliable, motivated and flexible individual who can work well independently and within a multidisciplinary team. The nurse will work as part of the primary healthcare team vaccinating patients in line with Patient Group Directives .
