Full Job Description

This role is available to current employees within IT Services or Student Curriculum and Operations at the University of Leeds only
This role is a 6 Month Secondment opportunity to cover Banner Training as there is need for temporary cover
This role will be based on the university campus, with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements.
Are you a Banner Super User? Can you communicate technical information to a non technical audience? Are you looking for an opportunity to develop your training delivery skills?
You will be responsible for delivering a range of specialist and more general IT learning and development activities to be delivered to a diverse range of audiences. With excellent communication and interpersonal skills you will be able to communicate technical and non-technical information effectively, tailoring your message to meet the needs of your audiences. You will identify new training needs for different audiences and will be responsible for ensuring the quality of the learning and development is assessed, measured and reported effectively to inform future developments in the service. You will be able to evaluate the effectiveness of generic materials and make recommendations on the most effective options.
You will be able to utilise and adapt existing training materials to ensure suitability for the subject matter being delivered. These may be for face to face courses, online working or other learning resources. You will be allocated a portfolio of specialist areas to deliver training, but may be required to deliver other training. Where necessary, you will work with relevant subject matter experts from within IT and the wider University in the development, design and delivery of training sessions. You will have excellent organisational skills, and be able to effectively influence and collaborate with a diverse range of colleagues.
