Full Job Description

This is a key role in the organisation, calling for a competent individual who has experience in managing bars and cellars. They will ensure the team are fully trained and carrying out tasks productively and to a high standard.

Main Duties

General

· Lead a team of casual bar staff, ensuring bar service is carried out efficiently and to a high standard, and ensuring all patrons are receiving the best possible customer service at all times

· Overseeing all procedures relating to the opening and closing of theatre

· Allocating fobs, radios and torches to necessary staff, and ensuring they are returned in the same condition at the end of each shift

· Ensuring any issues or complaints are resolved quickly and professionally.

· Managing any open tabs and organising payments

· Greet and look after VIP guests when needed

· Covering Shifts at Courtyard Bar and Kitchen when necessary

Bar

· Supervising all aspects of bars across the theatre, ensuring they are set up and closed down correctly each day

· Responsible for ensuring cellars are tidy and maintained to a high standard

· Ensuring stock rotation is applied

· Ensuring all staff are working under the theatres Challenge 25 policy.

· Ensuring staff meet the standards of the bars, addressing and correcting bad practice where needed

· Pre-empting any problem customers who may cause disruption, refusing service and reporting to a manager if necessary.

· Ensuring any wastage or breakages are recorded correctly

· Being aware of stock levels across the theatre, moving stock as needed and reporting any shortages to line manager

· Manage stock control

The Royal Court Theatre is a theatre located at 1 Roe Street in Liverpool, England. The current Royal Court Theatre was opened on 17 October 1938. The current capacity is 1,186 (Stalls 290, Circle 403, Balcony 493). The theatre has produced more than 100 shows since 2007. Our unique theatre kitchen has been providing great food for our audience for over 20 years. The Courtyard is our sister venue catering for up to 50 diners on an à la carte menu.

· Salary: £12.25 per hour depending on experience
