Full Job Description

The successful candidates will be joining a vibrant MDT consisting of dietitians, physiotherapists, psychologists, surgeons, and speciality doctors who work together to provide a compassionate service supporting patients towards sustainable weight management goals. The successful candidate will be responsible for day-to-day administrative tasks and support of the service manager and assistant service managers. The Service Admin Coordinator will use their own initiative to plan time effectively and prioritise all incoming work daily, including responding quickly, appropriately and communicating clearly in relation to urgent/important and unpredictable issues ensuring a high-quality administrative service. They will need to escalate to the service management team appropriately as required.

  • To act as coordinator for the Directorate for the identification of cover for annual, study and sick leave for medical staff in Emergency General Surgery on call rota, this includes Consultants and Junior doctors.
  • To provide administrative support to the Bariatric Surgery Service Managers in managing and organising medical staffing rotas.
  • To support with outpatient clinic management for the Bariatric Surgery team within the Department.
  • To provide administrative support to the Bariatric service within the Department.
  • Other duties related to administration of the Department as required by Service Managers.
