Full Job Description

We are looking for a Barista / Bartender to join our team in our award-winning Wild Rabbit Pub working the breakfast and lunch operations only - No evening work. You'll ideally have worked in a restaurant setting before and come with a bright, warm, and welcoming mentality. Our luxury pub feature seasonal farm to fork dishes in a relaxed and warm setting, and as a member of our team you will be an ambassador for the Daylesford brand and offer an engaged service to our clientele,

  • To deliver excellent service at all times, to all external & internal guests. This begins with providing Instant Service with a Smile!
  • Take responsibility for making the guest experience seamless and be accountable for your mistakes.
  • To consistently lead by example by looking immaculate and demanding the same amongst your colleagues.
  • To be positive & genuine in dealing with any guest requests; Never Say No!
  • Always aim to exceed expectations of our guests by anticipating their needs to provide a pro-active service.
  • To always be enthusiastic in all interactions with guests or colleagues. You are our ambassadors!
  • To know your subject in order to make recommendations, and promote The Wild Rabbit, Daylesford & Bamford, and to help educate your colleagues on our offering and history.
  • To be prepared and anticipate the business. Our service revolves around attention to detail and a great deal of preparation must be done behind the scenes to give a smooth service to our guests.
  • To communicate with all guests, departments and colleagues in a positive & respectful manner. Ensure the handover of detailed & accurate information to avoid mistakes and guest dissatisfaction.
  • To enjoy yourself at work to create a special work environment.
  • Display the attention to detail that we are renowned for and take pride in our surroundings., To always adhere to the agreed steps of service
  • Ensure service provided to guests is of the highest quality
  • Be proficient in waiting tables in the restaurant and bar floor/terrace depending on the needs of the business
  • To keep a constant attentive eye to the timing and flow of service at the bar tables
  • To constantly seek to proactively assist guests in the bar seated area, without waiting for them to stand up and seek for help
  • To anticipate all possible complaints and attempt to resolve them in the first instance - Report/escalate any potential issues or complaints to the Manager on duty
  • OPERATIONS
  • To highlight H&S matters to your line manager

  • To be proactive in assisting your team member colleagues
  • To activity share knowledge of your subject
  • To be reliable and punctual on shift
  • To ensure all mandatory and legal training is complete and up to date; and refreshers completed prior to the expiry date
  • To attend training courses when requested

    To have good knowledge of coffee,
  • Good knowledge of the wine, beers and cocktail lists
  • To be fully capable of mixing all drinks and cocktails
  • Have full knowledge of the ingredients to give accurate allergens advice
  • Be proficient in all areas of barista/coffee making
  • Deliver on all bar prep and cellar/bar deep cleaning
  • Thrive in a busy and vibrant service environment, Exceptional Customer Service: Ability to deliver personalised, attentive service, anticipating guest needs and ensuring a memorable experience for a sophisticated clientele.
  • Strong Product Knowledge: Extensive understanding of premium spirits, wines, and ingredients, with the capability to make informed recommendations and educate guests.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous in presentation, from crafting drinks to maintaining the bar's cleanliness and organisation, ensuring every aspect meets the luxury environment's high expectations.
  • Calm Under Pressure: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure setting while maintaining composure, ensuring efficient service and guest satisfaction during peak times

    SALARY: 11.75 per hour + tronc
  • HOURS: Full time 40 hours between 7am and 5pm, Daylesford is open 7 days a week, so flexibility to cover a variety of shifts including weekends is essential. PERKS & BENEFITS
