Joining us as a BDUK Data Analyst

Joining our team of Analysts, you'll carry out a variety of business analytics activities which are mainly focussed on geospatial and commercial assessment of publicly subsidised FTTP rollout plans. You'll be vital to the producing effective short-, medium- and long-term strategies, recommending areas of prioritisation and impact assessing strategic changes. Day to day, this is some of what you can expect to be doing

You'll receive a salary of up to £38,500, a performance related bonus, and a range of benefits to support you across your financial, physical and mental wellbeing.

This is some of what you can expect to be doing:

  • Analysing rollout plans, monitoring the ongoing viability of existing plans whilst assessing new opportunities and providing sound cases for changes to scope

  • Collecting, evaluating and interpreting information from multiple sources in order to assess business opportunities

  • Working across large datasets, merging data from multiple sources, analysing and identify trends, and summarising detailed outcomes

    You'll already have some experience in a similar role, as well as detailed understanding of GIS applications such as QGIS, ArcGIS and ESRI. You'll also bring the following with you:

  • Strong analytical and reasoning skills

  • Practical experience using analysis tools such as SQL, FME, and Python

  • Experience working with large data sets in a GIS environment

  • Ability to collate and present findings to senior stakeholders using Word and PowerPoint
