Are you passionate about beauty therapy and eager to inspire the next generation of therapists? Wiltshire College & University Centre is on the lookout for a dedicated Beauty Technician to join our vibrant team at the Salisbury campus. As a Beauty Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless operation of our Beauty salons and theory rooms. Beauty Technician - Key Responsibilities: Your responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining Salon Efficiency: Ensure the cleanliness and orderliness of the Beauty salons and theory rooms.
  • Managing Appointments: Oversee the reception area, assess students on reception duties, and monitor client appointments.
  • Preparing for Success: Prepare products and equipment for beauty treatments and manage sterilising cabinets and associated materials for classes and salon sessions.
  • Stock Control: Conduct weekly stock checks to ensure we are well-equipped for all salon activities.
  • Student Support: Provide guidance and support to students, contributing to their individual learning plans.
  • Client Interaction: Handle general enquiries from students and clients, ensuring a welcoming and professional salon environment.

    Have relevant experience: Previous experience in a similar role within the beauty therapy industry.
  • Possess qualifications: Level 2/3 in Beauty or equivalent. An Assessor qualification (D32/33, A1, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
  • Have Health & Safety Knowledge: A solid understanding of current Health and Safety requirements and basic first aid knowledge.
  • Have organisational Skills: Exceptional organisational skills with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Be a Team Player: Strong teamwork skills with the ability to build rapport easily with colleagues, students, and clients.
  • Show commitment to education: A willingness to contribute to students' learning journeys, helping them gain the knowledge needed to pass their courses successfully.
  • Be available to work late to cover the client evening on Thursday until 8pm and manage 8.30am starts to prepare salons for 9am lessons.
