Full Job Description
To supervise pupils during breakfast and after-school club (TreeTops), as well as during the midday break, either in the school grounds or within the school premises. Supervision includes overseeing pupils while they are eating or during times when outdoor activities are not possible due to inclement weather.
Key Responsibilities
Breakfast/After school Supervision
1. Assist in the safe and organised running of our breakfast and after school club
2. Assist in preparation, serving and tidying away of snack time
3. Have awareness of, and maintain sensitivity for, any children with additional needs
4. Ensure all activity areas are left clean and tidy at the end of each session
5. Provide a safe and secure environment for the children in your care
Break Supervision
1. To ensure that pupils follow our school values
2. To prevent pupils from taking any action that might result in injury to themselves or other pupils
3. To ensure that pupils make proper use of the toilets and cloakroom
4. To ensure pupils do not leave the school grounds without the permission of the Headteacher and/or approval of their parent
5. To inform the Head Teacher immediately is a pupil leaves or is withdrawn from the school premises without approval
6. To undertake such additional duties as are reasonably commensurate with the level of this post, eg, play games with the pupils

Safeguarding
The post holder must be aware of child protection issues and the need for confidentiality and to identify to the named safeguarding lead in school, concerns in respect of individual children
