Full Job Description

Do you have an interest in problem solving? Data analysis? Supporting people with learning disabilities? If so, the Intensive Support Team is the place for you. We specialise in supporting adults and children with a learning disability, who present with distressed behaviour that is described as complex and challenging. A big part of your role would be to observe and work with people in the community and also support with data collection, analysing and collating information, and developing evidence in a way that will directly influence the support a person receives. You will get to work with a range of professionals, such as Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists, Clinical Psychologists and Behaviour Specialists within the team, as well as a range of professionals from different settings, such as Consultant Psychiatrists, Teachers, Social Workers, and Support Workers. If you are keen to learn and be fully involved in working with people with a learning disability who show behaviours that challenge, we would encourage you to read our job description and person specification and apply for the position. We look forward to hearing from you! Note: Access to a car or alternative travel for business use is essential as this role involves client visits all over Oxfordshire., This job role provides the opportunity to build skills and knowledge in PBS. The role will focus on contributing to the assessment of behaviour functions and the application of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) interventions, under the supervision of registered clinicians. This will be done through observations within community settings, discussions with clinicians, analysing and visually representing data collected, and supporting formulation of plans. The Intensive Support Team supports hybrid working from the home and the office, with the team meeting once a week in the office at a minimum. Due to the nature of work, some visits may start earlier and/or finish later than core business hours.
