Full Job Description

This mainstream Primary School located in the Borough of Hounslow is looking for the perfect hard-working, resilient graduate to join their exceptional team! As a Behaviour Mentor, you will be working alongside pupils with SEMH & complex behavioural needs who require some additional guidance from a positive and assertive role model! You will support their everyday routine and keep them engaged and motivated to learn in the classroom. This is a full time, long-term post, commencing in September.

  • This is an ideal position for a Psychology/Criminology graduate who is seeking first-hand experience before pursuing a career as a Prison Liaison Officer, Therapist, Counsellor, Youth Mentor amongst others.


  • Behaviour Mentor - Unqualified Job role:
  • Supporting children with a range of SEN & SEMH to keep them engaged in the classroom

  • Encourage the development of the students' social skills

  • Work within the classroom and in smaller groups to accommodate needs

  • Support and comply with the school's safeguarding procedures

  • Full-time, long term position starting in September

  • Located in the Borough of Hounslow, A competitive daily rate - £105-£115

  • CPD opportunities including the opportunity for Salaried Teacher Training after one full academic year

  • Working alongside like-minded individuals and receiving the best support and guidance from Specialist staff

  • A 2:1 or a First-class degree from a reputable University

  • Genuine interest working with SEN and Mental Health

  • Excellent communication skills and willingness to adapt

  • Experience in a previous role, or personal experience in SEN is desirable

  • Calm and compassionate nature, A full year's experience working with children with complex needs
