Full Job Description

Torbay and South Devon has embarked upon an ambitious EPR Implementation Programme to modernise and transform the way in which services are provided to our patients. The post holder will play a key role in shaping and supporting digital transformation at Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust. This role will ensure the benefits identified within the Business Case are fully realised as well as identifying further benefits due to the ongoing transformation of services across the Trust. As the Benefits Analyst you will support the Transformation Manager in the delivery and monitoring of EPR associated benefits. You will be crucial to our benefits realisation by capturing and analysing identified benefits, whilst working closely with the Change team to identify new benefits of implementing a shared EPR across Devon.,

  • Support the Operations Information Officer, Operational Director and the Change Readiness & Benefits Manager in the delivery and monitoring of identified benefits outlined in the EPR Business Case throughout the implementation of the EPR Programme
  • Assist the Operations Information Officer, and the Change Readiness & Benefits Manager in reviewing, capturing and analysing current working practices to identify new benefits throughout the implementation of new ways of working to enhance patient care.
  • Assist in the delivery of the benefits element of the EPR Programme as directed by the Operations Information Officer, and the Change Readiness & Benefits Manager, You will work as part of the EPR Programme Team to support clinical and operational departments to realise identified benefits through new ways of working across Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust. Realisation of benefits will be underpinned by the implementation of Epic as our new Electronic Patient Record., Complete progress and variance reports for the benefits element of relevant projects.
  • Works with and engages Stakeholders regarding the identification of benefits, ensuring staff are supported
  • Participates in project meetings as appropriate.
  • Deals with staff in a competent, compassionate, and professional way during a challenging project implementation which some staff may find difficult and emotionally stressful.
  • To prepare high quality reports and communications on the status and ongoing progress of benefits realisation, including future projections, for external organisations such as NHS England and all levels of the organisation including executive levels.
  • Analyse business activity information and have a sound working knowledge of, and expertise in the identification of appropriate baseline measures working with service users
  • Work with programme management office to determine, plan and execute future benefits management related to further ongoing developments in IM&T and projects across the Trust Support
  • Plan and undertake baseline studies of current working practices and processes.
  • Assess potential benefits, risks, impacts and costs of proposed changes and provide advice on how to gain approval to proceed with changes
  • With the Operations Information Officer, EPR Change Team and Stakeholders propose policies and process changes to current working practices across Clinical and Administrative areas as require to identify additional benefits
