Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Benefits department for a Benefits Assistant. We provide services to Maidstone, Swale and Tunbridge Wells Borough Councils, and are looking for a motivated and confident individual who is willing to learn and develop in the role as knowledge and experience increases. As the successful candidate, you will be joining a friendly and high performing team and will be providing administrative support to the Housing Benefit and Council Tax Support team, under the guidance of the Benefit Team Leaders. This is a full-time position (37 hours per week) on a permanent contract.

The post holder should be educated to GCSE level, or equivalent, and must have excellent written and oral communication skills. They will have good IT skills and the ability to take ownership of their actions whilst working in a challenging environment.
