The Position

Roche is seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Benefits Senior Specialist to join our People Support Solutions team. In this role, you will focus on managing and enhancing our local benefits programme, including support for; payroll, absence management, and advisory support for employees, managers, and business partners. Your Role:

As a Benefits Senior Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of global and local benefits programmes. You will work closely with People & Culture (P&C) business partners and vendor management teams to ensure processes are efficient, compliant, and aligned with Roche's commitment to excellence people practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage benefits programs, including insurances, flexible benefits, and long service awards, ensuring timely and accurate administration.

  • Implement local benefits policies and support the global benefits program, including system setup, employee communications, and documentation updates.

  • Support management of benefits vendors and monitor key Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

  • Provide customer service on benefits-related activities, inquiry resolution, and troubleshooting.

  • Monitor data flows across systems and ensure timely and accurate processing.

  • Ensure regulatory compliance and align with country-specific requirements.

  • Collaborate with P&C chapters to support system maintenance activities and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Provide advisory support to first-level support teams and serve as the expert for more complex inquiries.

  • Actively contribute to process improvements and knowledge development within the team.


  • Who You Are:
  • Education: A degree in a relevant field is preferred, or equivalent qualifications are acceptable.

  • Experience: You bring significant experience in benefits administration within a shared service center environment, with knowledge of benefits operations and vendor management preferred.

  • Skills: Advanced Excel and/or Google Sheets skills, excellent attention to detail, and strong analytical abilities are essential. You thrive in a matrix organization and can work independently in a fast-paced, changing environment.

  • Communication: Strong English communication skills (written and spoken) are required. Proficiency in additional languages (German, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Hungarian, Chinese) is an advantage based on the region.

  • Core Capabilities: You demonstrate customer centricity, end-to-end accountability, problem-solving, and a growth mindset in your day-to-day interactions.
