Full Job Description

  • Provide friendly and efficient service to customers visiting the cafe. Greet customers, take orders, and serve food and beverages promptly and accurately.
  • Handle cash transactions, process payments accurately, and ensure the security of cash at all times. Use the point-of-sale system to process orders and payments.
  • Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as making sandwiches, salads, and pastries. Ensure that food items are properly displayed and maintained at the appropriate temperatures.
  • Keep the cafe area clean and tidy at all times. This includes wiping down tables, cleaning countertops, and ensuring that the dining area is presentable for customers.
  • Monitor inventory levels of food, beverages, and supplies. Restock items as needed and notify management when inventory levels are low.
  • Follow all health and safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and customers. This includes proper food handling and sanitation practices.
  • Work collaboratively with other cafe staff members to ensure efficient operations. Support colleagues during busy periods and communicate effectively with the team.
  • Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner. Answer any questions they may have about the menu items and provide recommendations when requested.

    Experience isn't essential, as full training will be provided. However, a smile, dedication to exceeding customer expectations, and being a great team player are essential., Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic math skills for handling cash transactions.
  • Basic Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Additionally, the role entails basic food preparation, monitoring inventory levels, adhering to health and safety standards, and collaborating with the cafe team.
