Full Job Description
- Provide friendly and efficient service to customers visiting the cafe. Greet customers, take orders, and serve food and beverages promptly and accurately.
- Handle cash transactions, process payments accurately, and ensure the security of cash at all times. Use the point-of-sale system to process orders and payments.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as making sandwiches, salads, and pastries. Ensure that food items are properly displayed and maintained at the appropriate temperatures.
- Keep the cafe area clean and tidy at all times. This includes wiping down tables, cleaning countertops, and ensuring that the dining area is presentable for customers.
- Monitor inventory levels of food, beverages, and supplies. Restock items as needed and notify management when inventory levels are low.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and customers. This includes proper food handling and sanitation practices.
- Work collaboratively with other cafe staff members to ensure efficient operations. Support colleagues during busy periods and communicate effectively with the team.
- Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner. Answer any questions they may have about the menu items and provide recommendations when requested.
Experience isn't essential, as full training will be provided. However, a smile, dedication to exceeding customer expectations, and being a great team player are essential., Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role preferred. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions.
- Basic Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
