Full Job Description

We are looking for a qualified Best Interest Assessor (BIA) or someone actively working towards the qualification to join our dedicated Mental Capacity Act & Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (MCA & DoLS) Team. This is a part-time (18.5 hours/week), permanent position where you will work within the MCA & DoLS frameworks to ensure the rights and voices of vulnerable individuals are protected.

You'll need a current registration as a Social Worker, Nurse, Occupational Therapist, or Psychologist and a strong understanding of relevant legislation. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are key for success in this role., Valid UK driving licence and access to transport., Disability Confident

About the Team:
Our team handles all DoLS referrals, managing the most complex cases and providing advice, guidance, and training to wider Adult Social Services teams. We are passionate about ensuring lawful processes and upholding Human Rights, while striving to achieve the best outcomes for the individuals we support.

Key Requirements:
Best Interest Assessor qualification (or currently working towards it)
