Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has become available to join our dynamic and energetic service as Team Manager of Oxleas CAMHS Mental Health Support Team (MHST) within the London Borough of Bexley. Mental Health Support Teams are part of an exciting National initiative, working in collaboration with education settings, to improve the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people in response to the government's Green Paper: Transforming children and young people's mental health provision., As Team Manager you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective day to day delivery of the MHST within Bexley, supporting the team to provide a high quality, safe and responsive mental health and wellbeing service to children, young people and families within a number of local primary and secondary education settings. You will work in close partnership with education colleagues, local authority and partner agencies and will develop strong working relationships with senior clinical, professional and managerial leads within Oxleas CAMHS and the wider Trust. The service will be undergoing further expansion in January 2025 with the Team Manager leading the team through this change to achieve its ambitious goals and continue to improve the MHST service in Bexley.

Our services include community health care such as district nursing and speech and language therapy, care for people with learning disabilities and mental health care such as psychiatry, nursing and therapies. We manage hospital sites including Queen Mary's Hospital, Sidcup and Memorial Hospital, Woolwich, as well as the Bracton Centre, our medium secure unit for people with mental health needs.
