Full Job Description

This role will play a pivotal role in transforming the way data is used and how insights are derived within the organisation to better inform care delivery. Providing advanced technical knowledge across the range of Business Intelligence tools and systems in use, as well as analytical expertise

Working within the Business Intelligence team the post holder will develop reporting solutions which allow rapid access to information through the development of data models and visualisations for the trusts web-based information reporting portal. The post holder will utilise Microsoft SQL server, PowerBI and advanced analytical techniques to develop these outputs.

To help lead the development of Business Intelligence solutions which provide a single, consistent and comprehensive view of performance across the trust, this will include the line management of Business Intelligence analysts working within the team

Promoting the use of Business Intelligence tools and support and encourage colleagues in how they can be used to improve services and provide expert technical advice and management support to information services colleagues

· Act as the lead analyst for operational and clinical staff within the Trust, undertaking critical analysis and interpretation of information in the most innovative way

· Prepare and provide regular, timely and accurate information to Divisional management and clinicians using appropriate analytical and presentation techniques

· To work with key Divisional staff, Executive leads, clinicians, external agencies and the Information Services team to develop first class Business Intelligence solutions that are fit for purpose and provide all of the functionality to manage the hospitals efficiently

· To assist the Head of Business Intelligence and the Technical Development Manager with the strategic development of the Business Intelligence Team and line management of Business Intelligence developers within the team

· The delivery and management, as part of a team, of a diverse range of ad hoc information enquiries generated both internally and externally by clinicians and managers

· Build excellent working relationships with key staff within the trust and promote a pro-active and supportive culture to transform the way Business Intelligence tools are used throughout the trust
