Full Job Description

The Senior BI Developer will be responsible for managing circa 3-5 projects at a time of various sizes. This position will focus on a wide range of departmental projects across the entire business including HR, Finance, Technical & Operations etc.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for developing value added solutions within the Group and identifying any potential design gaps and to provide insight into closing these.

You'll also help mentor and develop the technical skills of junior team members. The team has a strong track record of developing people and internal promotions, so if you're looking for an opportunity to grow your career this is a great position.

Some responsibilities include:

  • Responsible to review and evaluate existing systems for possible enhancement or upgrade.

  • Routinely search for innovative ways to improve existing systems or procedures.

  • Responsible for maintaining and improving existing BI Content concentrating on the efficiency and stability.

  • Responsible for undertaking and leading work involved in large- and small-scale Delivery projects, such as Tableau report development.

  • Communicate well and build relationships with key users within the business.

  • Mentor and develop the skills of more junior members of the team.

  • Lead training sessions on self-service Tableau reporting with the business

    Ideally educated to bachelor's degree in a related field.

  • Technical Knowledge - T-SQL., BI Reporting Tools - Tableau, ETL Tools, Extracting data from API's and Data Warehousing principles.

  • Well organised, good communication and reporting skills.

  • Ability to successfully work under tight project deadlines.

  • Strong mentoring/ technical training skills

  • Leadership skills on a project level
