Join us in playing a key role in managing responses to new business, and renewal opportunities across the care and support contracts in Home Group! As our Bid Development Lead, you'll oversee the entire bid and tender submission process, ensuring full compliance with commissioner requirements and leading a team of talented bid writers. Our success relies on securing new business and renewing contracts that align with the needs of our customers and commissioners, and along with our Business Development team, you'll be a key player.,

  • You'll manage and lead the bid and tender submission process, ensuring all submissions meet commissioner requirements and reflect our competitive strengths, working with Strategic Partnership Leads to secure new business across our product portfolio.

  • You'll support horizon scanning relating to new business opportunities, using tendering portals, reviewing, recommending and maximising growth opportunities.

  • Using our gateway approval processes you'll ensure governance standards are met.

  • Using your brilliant collaboration and communication skills you'll work with internal and external stakeholders including finance, legal and HRD to ensure the success of governance process in bid submission.

  • You'll lead and coach our team of bid writers to be experts in their field and Home Group's products.

  • Through your strategic thinking and driving continuous improvement, your success contributes to our annual growth targets!

  • You'll manage your own diary, so if you need to take delivery of your new fridge or take a longer lunch for a haircut, you can use your flexi time to manage that!

  • Our team is spread nationally - so we take it in turns where we host our monthly face to face team meeting! Our offices are in Leeds, London, Birmingham and Newcastle, so every now and then you'll be going further afield.

  • We also regularly visit services we're supporting with tenders, so you'll need to be okay with travelling (we cover train or milage expenses of course!)

    You'll have strong experience in bid and tender management, even better if it's within the care and supported housing sector!

  • Your excellent leadership, team management and coaching skills.

  • Excellent written and presentation skills and ability to negotiate and persuade.

  • Ability to coach others in delivering technical expertise in written responses.

  • Experience using a CRM system, knowledge management and continuous improvement practices.

    Permanent full time (37.5 hpw), flexible

    Salary circa £48,000 negotiable based on skills and experience plus brilliant benefits including health cash plan!,
