Full Job Description

You will work to understand the client's needs and requirements and key strategic deliverables on the bid and any considerations for Veolia in the development of the bid and by working with the Business Development Manager you will develop solutions (technical, legal and financial aspects). Working in collaboration with regional and support functions to ensure buy-in and development of robust proposals, including writing and proofreading sections of the tender and then ensuring that tenders are submitted on time and in line with the client requirements. By researching and assisting in the production of Method Statements for tender submission, you will carry out market research into client and competitor activity and will present this information to the appropriate people in the development / tender team, including managing the preparation of presentations and attending all client meetings. You will have involvement in stakeholder engagement and planning consultations, as well as manage the liaison with Local Authorities (clarification process) and provide other project management and general support for the department as needed., We know how important it is to be fully committed to building and maintaining a diverse and inclusive place to work for every one of our colleagues.   • Knowledge of the waste industry is preferred, with an enthusiasm for the environment and the wider waste management field and project management experience.
  • High standard of written English in order to produce professional tender document, and IT literacy - Adobe Acrobat and Google suite would be particularly useful
  • High level of confidentiality, as you'll be working with business critical data, with the ability to meet tight deadlines with high attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Strong Communication skills to build relationships with clients.
  • Local authority experience/understanding would be highly desirable.
