Full Job Description

Methods is seeking a fast-learning, motivated, highly organised and detail driven individual to play an important role within the Bid Team. This is a key role, which will involve you acting as point of contact for requests into the bid team and ensuring that they are handled quickly and effectively. You will also have the opportunity to support colleagues in producing and submitting bid responses, as well as manage our central library of bid content. You will be a highly motivated self-starter with lots of initiative and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team You will have an excellent eye for detail, and will be comfortable in juggling multiple tasks to deadline. As key point of contact for the Bid Team, you will be working with colleagues from across the business, so strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.

  • Managing the central Bid Team mailbox
  • Checking online tender portals (Contracts Finder, Find a Tender) for new opportunities
  • Tracking and logging new opportunities and tender documents
  • Attending weekly bid qualification calls and following up on actions
  • Assisting in the completion and submission of bid responses
  • Managing a central bid library
  • Managing bid process guidelines and templates
  • Maintaining and updating electronic portal supplier registrations
  • Co-ordinating colleague attendance at supplier events and webinars
  • Where requested, contributing to company-wide projects where Bid Team input or representation is required

    Stakeholder management skills, with an ability to build relationships with colleagues at all levels
  • Ability to organise and prioritise a varied workload effectively
  • Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Desirable Skills and Experience:
  • Experience in using SharePoint and Salesforce is advantageous but is not mandatory as training will be provided.
