Full Job Description

The purpose of this role is to support the management of a billing system by ensuring accurate reference data, up to date process, error handling and supplier engagement.

The role holder will be responsible for ensuring the monthly bill run is performed accurately, completely and on time every month. They will be a recognised systems expert and engage with the team and wider business to support their day-to-day activities and ensure they achieve the targets appropriate for their role.

What you'll be doing

  • Ensure accurate rating & billing for both inbound and outbound GIPX International voice billing.

  • Manage the day-to-day supplier relationship monitoring bridge cases, service requests and system availability to all users at all times.

  • Manage system outages with early communication to users and stakeholders.

  • Support billing operations / leads on strategic solutions and implementation of processes for new products.

  • Provide a leading role with the interface between BT and our system suppliers, ensuring that service levels are met, faults are raised, fixed and cascaded back out to the wider team in a timely and appropriate manner.

  • Prepare for the main monthly bill run and check completeness, appropriateness and accuracy which is evidenced in Sarbanes Oxley control files.

  • Assist with dispute investigation and resolution to meet Team objectives along with root cause analysis.

  • Build, monitor and enlist other parties to ensure all Customer Acceptance Testing is completed on time with appropriate results.

  • Maintain excellent levels of data integrity within our systems.

  • Provide advice at any time on system behaviours, appropriate usage, and reasoning behind unexpected system behaviour.

    Experience of operational billing and collections for large scale organisations.

  • Knowledge and understanding of billing, collection and debt management techniques and processes.

  • Ability to meet targets by managing and supporting Billing Associates.

  • Ability able to manage and deliver both small and large projects as part of a team.

  • Excellent MS office skills.

  • Willingness to learn new systems and tools and act as a lead for the team as they are adopted in full.
