Full Job Description

The role will appeal to a candidate who enjoys and is stimulated by challenges and is keen to pursue their carrier with the international billing and related activities, with opportunities to get involved in reporting, data analysis and other ad-hoc tasks where required. The successful candidate will be part of a high performing, friendly, dynamic and muti-cultural finance team. The role will report to the international financial controller and includes management of a portfolio of projects and clients across several of the company's international legal entities, located in: - UK Europe (Germany, France) Middle East (Abu Dhabi and Dubai) What You Will Do: Contracts, Billing and AR

  • Lead the review of initial contract and project set up in Peoplesoft to ensure correct and accurate revenue recognition.
  • Lead AR collection efforts by contacting client Accounts Payable teams.
  • Maintain records on an ongoing basis, including understanding billing plans, invoice procedure and amendments to budgets etc.
  • Maintain log sheets for unbilled Work in Progress and uncollected AR in the portfolio. Follow up on aged items. Provide information to management when required.
  • Work with Project Managers and others to ensure that draft invoices are raised in a timely manner and in compliance with company policy and local regulations.
  • Finalize invoices and distribute, including use of several client online billing portals.

  • Work directly with external auditors during the annual audit process
  • Communicate billing issues with relevant teams across the business.
  • Respond to queries both from within and outside the business.
  • Generate reports and analyse data to assist in the tasks described above, or to provide to management etc.
  • Other ad-hoc related tasks as required.

    Minimum 8 years' billing/AR/WIP experience preferably from consultancy sector.
  • Strong knowledge with WIP and AR and how effective management of these maintains a low DSO result.
  • Intermediate level of MS Office, Excel and Word; ability to analyse and work with often large and complex data sets.
  • A holder of a finance degree (or significant professional experience).
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritise workload effectively.
  • A dedicated team player who can perform tasks with minimum level of supervision and has a 'can-do' approach to problem-solving.
  • Has excellent attention to detail with the ability to detect errors and maintains a high level of accuracy.
  • Able to drive changes and improve efficiencies.
  • Is proactive and deadline oriented.
  • Is an excellent verbal/written communicator at all levels.
  • Ensures that processes are effectively and efficiently followed.
  • What Would Be Nice to Have:
  • Basic knowledge of business German languages would be an advantage.
