Full Job Description

We are looking for a BIM Designer to join our team out of our office located in Birmingham, UK. The primary focus of this position is to coordinate the use of Revit software to generate 3D models of facilities and equipment for use in design and construction. The BIM Designer works on various projects as assigned by a BIM Manager/Project Manager/relevant director. This individual works with the Engineering and Design Staff which is made up of Mechanical / Electrical / Building Services / Process Engineers, Project Managers, Designers, Architects, and other personnel to define and implement BIM applications for given projects. Position Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with project teams to develop and implement BIM processes and workflows for pharmaceutical projects.
  • Coordinates BIM projects with all disciplines to complete projects on schedule and within budget.
  • Creates and manages project BIM models, including developing and maintaining model standards, templates, and libraries.
  • Liaises with clients and project managers to ensure that BIM deliverables are delivered on time.
  • Ensures model accuracy, consistency, and completeness; including maintaining the model content and ensuring compliance with project requirements.
  • Provides technical support and training to the wider project team on BIM-related tools and workflows.

  • Experience in developing and managing BIM processes, workflows, and standards.
  • Extensive previous design experience in mechanical and electrical system design.
  • Understanding of BIM360/Autodesk Construction Cloud environment.
  • Proficient in the use of Revit software including creating and managing complex 3D models and families.
  • Experienced in model review, navigation, and clash detection using Navisworks.
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical facility design and construction processes.
  • A proficient user of Revit software developing 3D models of facilities and equipment from early design through to construction.
