Full Job Description

To plan, interpret, implement, and maintain BIM related processes, procedures, standards, and the tools required for the progressive development of the 'Digital Twin' of assets for either a major project, multi-project portfolio or business area. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and deliver project BIM strategy in line with project, programme and client requirements.
  • Effective adoption of ISO 19650 standards
  • Interpret and communicate emerging best practices within BIM to key stakeholders for consideration and adoption.
  • Coordinate with Subject Matter Experts (SME's) & BIM specialists from other disciplines to ensure the integrity of the federated BIM model and extend its usefulness (e.g., 4D, 5D etc.).
  • Establish processes and\or perform data integrity audits to ensure standards, naming and numbering schemes etc. within authoring tools are aligned with project requirements.
  • Act as the Subject Matter Expert in one or more of the 3D modelling tools such as Autodesk Revit, Inventor and\or Aveva E3D and promote effective use of such tools.
  • Act as the primary interface with Key Delivery Partners and other 3rd parties involved in delivering BIM related content to facilitate effective collaboration and federation of the BIM model.
  • Keep abreast of industry best practices, standards, and technologies through participation in BIM related forums, communities of practice etc. to facilitate cross project knowledge transfer.

    Ideally qualified in an Engineering discipline with a demonstrable track record of managing BIM and related processes and technologies on major capital projects.
  • Be capable of planning and successfully executing BIM related transformation projects.
  • Have in-depth working knowledge in the use of one or more of the following: Autodesk Revit, Inventor, Navisworks and Aveva E3D.
  • Must be able to prioritise own work effectively and be able to direct activities of others.
  • Have excellent communications skills and be able to present complex technical matters effectively to internal as well as external stakeholders.
  • Ability to develop coherent processes, plans, and procedures in compliance with regulator, client, and programme requirements to suit the project.
  • Be capable of building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders and service providers.
  • Problem solving skills and ability to respond to sudden unexpected demands as well as strategic thinking to anticipate and resolve problems before they arise.
