Full Job Description

Epsom College, an independent co-educational day and boarding school on the edge of Epsom Downs, is looking to appoint a Biology Technician responsible for the preparation of class practicals and general servicing of laboratories. You would join a friendly team of technicians and teaching staff.

The applicant would have a science degree or higher qualification and/or technical experience. The successful applicant will be organised and methodical in their approach, cheerful, team focused and well presented. A knowledge of health and safety and COSHH regulations will be essential along with experience of setting up equipment and co-ordinating practical risk assessments. Competent IT skills and administration skills are required.

The role would ideally suit an individual who enjoys and has experience working within a professional laboratory/classroom environment. The role will involve some lifting and manual handling apparatus. Practical knowledge of setting up and maintaining equipment is essential.
