Biomechanist Gait Laboratory

The workload involves the assessment, data acquisition, data processing and
data analysis of children and adults referred to the Movement Analysis Centre, Alder Hey, with gait disorders due to conditions such as cerebral palsy, spina bifida, neuromuscular disorders and trauma., + To assist the N.W.M.A.C. team in ensuring that gait analysis equipment is correctly
configured for the appropriate data collection sessions and that processed data is of
suitable quality and quality assured.
+ To assist in performing patient tests.
+ To assist the N.W.M.A.C. team in processing and managing patient data, including regular
backups.
+ To set a high personal standard of work, keeping abreast of advances in knowledge and
practice within the field of motion analysis.

+ To act in a manner which supports equality and diversity with reference to Trust policies
and principles., The post holder will work as an effective member of a multidisciplinary NWMAC team in providing the day-to-day running of the gait analysis facility as well as the undertaking of service development and innovation activities. S/he will also assist in the maintenance of the Movement Analysis Centre equipment in addition to patient testing.
