Full Job Description
Applicants must hold IBMS accredited degree suitable for HCPC registration purposes to be eligible for this post.
Experience of working in an NHS Clinical Chemistry laboratory will be an advantage at shortlisting.
This role will be based at the Airedale General Hospital (AGH) laboratory site and the successful candidate will be employed directly by the NHS as an Airedale NHS Foundation Trust employee.
The department operates a 24/7 service utilising a continuous process pattern (CPP) shift system, which the successful candidate will be required to fully participate in following HCPC registration, The successful candidate will be required to work in all sections within the chemistry department. These areas include chemistry, immunology and serology/virology, in the automated and manual Clinical Chemistry laboratories. The department currently utilizes Beckman AU5800, DXI immunoassay, Vidas 3, Werfen Bioflash, Sebia Capillays and Sebia Hydrasys technology.
Candidates will need to be enthusiastic, well-motivated and innovative. Good organisational and practical abilities supported by well-developed interpersonal/ communication skills and an ability to support individual and team working are also key to this role.
