Full Job Description

This role is based in the Immunology laboratory at William Harvey Hospital using Siemens BNII, Capilarys, Hydrasys, ImmunoCAPs and Helios analysers. Services provided include autoimmune serology, allergy, protein electrophoresis, specific protein measurement and cryoprotein investigations. The laboratory works closely with our consultant Immunologist supporting allergy and immunology clinics in addition to planning the delivery and development of laboratory services.

We are looking for an HCPC registered biomedical scientist (band 5) to join our team in this busy, friendly immunology laboratory. Applicants must have post registration experience working in an ISO15189 accredited laboratory, preferably Immunology or Blood Sciences. The department has a strong training ethos and has IBMS Registration and Specialist portfolio training status. The post holder will be supported in progressing onto undertaking a Specialist portfolio once they fulfill certain criteria.
