Full Job Description
Due to the nature of this role and service, this role is on-site and the hours are as advertised. Please talk to us at interview about the flexibility you need, and we will explore what's possible for the role and service.
- Work throughout all of sections of the department on a rotational basis
- Work a mixture of day, and late shifts, and weekend and bank holidays
- Be responsible for the reception/data entry and processing of clinical specimens, these may include a range of swabs, body fluids, and blood samples
- Be involved in setting up a range of routine automated and manual laboratory tests
- Assist with the quality management of the laboratory (for example quality control procedures and audit as required)
Is able to communicate well with staff in the department and service users - Is able to plan and use their own time economically and effectively
- Has a high degree of motivation and enthusiasm
- Has a working knowledge of laboratory areas
