Full Job Description

Cumberland Community School is a large and popular community school in East London. We would like to appoint a BIR officer to support our pastoral team by supervising students in the behaviour improvement room and promoting good behaviour.

You will ideally already have successful experience of working with young people in an educational or community setting. You will also be able to demonstrate that you have the skills and abilities to build positive relationships with young people and their families and a commitment to making a real difference to their learning experience.

We offer excellent staff support and leadership development, good career progression opportunities and a friendly and dedicated approach to school leadership.

We are a forward-thinking school that has dispensed with formal lesson observations, retrospective book marking and written student exam reports whilst maintaining very high standards of care and outcomes. Behaviour is outstanding and the students are keen to progress and are used to working hard.

We prefer candidates who are organised, friendly, and who possess a positive work ethic. Having a few good ideas is always welcome.

If you join us, you will be part of a structured, committed and hardworking team that will look after you and help you progress in your career.

Please visit our website http://www.cumberlandcst.org/vacancies for more information. Your application is a direct application to the CST.
